Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon, March 10, at 2 o'clock at the Methodist Episcopal church, with Rey. Karl H. Keefer in charge. Burial will be at the Highland cemetery. Clara Alice Parker was born August 22, 1871, and was the elder of two children born to John and Elizabeth Parker of Adair, Audabon county, Iowa. August 24, 1892, she married Jacob E. Willford. Mr. and Mrs. Willford resided in Adair community for 11 years before moving to Gladwin, where they have since made their home.

Five children were born to them, Maurice, who died at 25 in 1919, Irma, Mrs. Orland Thorington of Sage township, Gordon, Buryl and Gertrude, Mrs. Wright Bellinger, all of Gladwin. Mrs. Willford had a stroke in 1934 and has been confined to her bed most of the time since.

She was always a hard worker and rather serve than be waited upon. She was happiest when with her family supervising home duties. Besides the husband and children she leaves 17 grandchildren and was deeply grieved when her only great grandchild died, She has one brother, Jessie L. Parker, of Exira. Iowa.
