Mrs. Irma C. Thorington, 65, of Sage Township, died Thursday after an illness of five weeks.
Born in Nebraska on May 25, 1897, the former Irma Willford was married to Orland Thorington on Feb. 15, 1919 in Gladwin. She had lived in Gladwin County 62 years.
Surviving are her husband, Orland; three daughters, Mrs. Alice Hale, of Harrison, Mrs. Ruth Pyke and Mrs. Patty Powers, of Gladwin; two sons, Ray of Gladwin, and Maurice, of Chicago; two brothers, Gordon and Buryl Willford, of Gladwin; a sister, of Alaska; 17 grandchildren. A son, Ben, preceded her in death in World War II.
Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Home with the Rev. William Baker of the West Grout Free Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in Highland Cemetery. Gladwin County Record dated 5-22/1963
