HYNDMAN,PENNSYLVANIA -- Eugene "Pete" Francis Blubaugh Sr., 75, of Hyndman, Pa., passed away Thursday, Nov. 24, 2011, at his home.

Born Jan. 11, 1936, in Cumberland, Mr. Blubaugh was the son of the late Joseph Alden Blubaugh and Blanche Rachel (Williams) Blubaugh. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 26 years, Kathryn Virginia Blubaugh, on May 12, 2009; and three brothers, William, Robert, and Joseph Jr. Blubaugh.

Pete was a self-employed carpenter and a member of the Carpenters Union. He was also a member of the Cresaptown Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2885. Pete also enjoyed golfing.

Pete is survived by his sons, Eugene F. Blubaugh Jr. and his wife Tina, of Lonaconing, Robert W. McRobie Jr. and his wife Cecilia, of Virginia, Michael Blubaugh, of Cumberland, and Randy Blubaugh and his wife Kim, of New York; his daughters, Pamela Cowart and her husband Larry, of Fort Ashby, W.Va., Sandra K. Hershberger, of Cumberland, and Sandra K. Rafferty and her husband Tommy, of LaVale; as well as 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Monday, Nov. 28, 2011, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Tom Morgan officiating.

Interment will be in Davis Memorial Cemetery.
