RAWLINGS,MARYLAND —- Eleanor Rae Doolan, 82, of Rawlings, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at the home of her daughter.
Born on September 5, 1938, in Zhilman, MD, she was the daughter of the late Joseph E. and Blanch R. (Williams) Blubaugh. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold J. Doolan, Jr.; baby boy Doolan; and brothers, "Pete," Junior, Billy, and Bobby Blubaugh.
Eleanor was a loving mother and grandmother. She never met a stranger, and her home and dinner table were always open to the kids and friends in her neighborhood. She enjoyed volunteering as a Cub Scout Den Mother and with the local Head Start. Eleanor was active in the Special Olympics with her son, Timothy. She loved spending time in the outdoors, fishing with her husband. Eleanor will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
In accordance with her wishes, Eleanor will be cremated. A memorial service and interment will be held at the MD State Veteran's Cemetery, Rocky Gap, at a later date.
Her family would like to thank UPMC Western Maryland Fifth Floor Progressive Care Unit, as well as UPMC Western Maryland Hospice for the kind, compassionate care they provided.
