Son of Andrew & Harriet Clark; He migrated from Iowa to Nance County, Nebraska and worked on the Clark farms there from about 1900 to 1912. Chelal married on February 14, 1912, to Elva Josephine Cholson, daughter of Frank & Johanna Cholson. They first returned to Iowa but about 1918, moved to Santa Rosa Beach, Walton County, in the Florida panhandle area. At the time of his death in 1931, Chelal was working in a saw mill in Pensacola, Florida.
Elva would die less than 2 yrs later, in 1933. There were no children from their marriage.
