Julia Ann Myers Gentzler was born near Cleveland, Ohio on July 12, 1859 and died August 19, 1925 at her home in Homer, Nebr. at the age of 66 years, 1 month and 7 days.

When a girl she moved to Iowa with her parents and later to Dodge Co., Nebraska. She was united in marriage on Nov. 27, 1884 to Phillip Gentzler and with her family moved to Creighton, Nebr. in 1892 where she made her home until about four years ago, when she moved to Homer, Nebr, where she resided until her death.

She had been an ardent Christian woman, uniting with the Methodist Church as a girl and remaining active in all church work throughout her entire life. Her whole life had been exemplary, her devotion to her church and family has been beautiful and she will be greatly missed by the grieving family and friends.

She is survived by eight of her children; Mrs. J.F. Whiting of Minn., Frank Gentzler, Mrs. W.B. Darr and Mrs. B. O. Darr of Venus, Nebr. Gurney and Merle Gentzler of Homer, Nebr., Mrs. R.W. Burr of Red Cloud, Nebr. and Mrs. C. Young of Clearwater, Nebr. and several grandchildren.

Her husband and one son, Judson, preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held on Friday morning from the Methodist Church at 11 o'clock conducted by Rev. Farner. A large number of friends were present to pay their final respects to the deceased and the beautiful floral tributes in evidence showed that Mrs. Gentzler was held in the highest esteem in this city.
