Mrs. B.O. Darr, 77, Dies; Rites Monday

Funeral services for Mrs. B.O. Darr, 77, who died Friday, May 24 at her home, were conducted Monday at Hengstler's Chapel. The Rev. David Gustafson, a former pastor here, now pastor of the Congregational Church at Albion, officiated.

Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers, all nephews, were Howard Darr, David Darr, Roger Gentzler, Hadley Gentzler, Jim Gentzler and Lyle Stingley. Honorary pallbearers were Rudolph Gabler, Fritz C. Rokahr Sr., Roger Tenney, Lester Effle, Harold Randall and Perry O. Adams.

Abbie Euphelia Gentzler, daughter of Philip and Julia Ann Gentzler, was born Aug. 27, 1890 at Fremont. She attended school in Knox County and also Midland College.

She was united in marriage to Baron O. Darr on Oct. 5, 1911 at Fairfax, S.D. Four children were born to them. They farmed and ranched west of Creighton until 1959 when they retired and moved into Creighton.

She was a member of the Methodist Church.

Surviving are her husband; one daughter, Nola E. Rogers of Norfolk; two sons, Philip J. of Underwood, Minn. and Keith E. of Norfolk; three grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Calvin (Laura) Yorke of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Amy Whiting of Clitherall, Minn. and Mrs. John (Bertha) Jenkinson of Verdigre.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ione, her parents, four brothers and one sister.
