Edna Jane Geisler, the daughter of Edmund and Mercedes (Haskin) Hubbard, was born February 10, 1903 near Venus. She died October 30, 1990 at the Lundberg Memorial Hospital in Creighton at the age of 87 years, eight months and 20 days.
She was raised in the Venus area and graduated from the Page High School. She attended Wayne State College and taught rural school in Antelope County.
She married Emil Geisler, April 30, 1927 at Yankton, SD. To this union was born four children, Irene, Phyllis, Robert and Sharon. They lived in the Norfolk area until 1944, when they moved to a farm southeast of Creighton. In 1978 she moved to town.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Creighton.
Survivors include her son, Robert of Creighton and her daughters and sons-in-law, Irene and Willis Sanders of Ord and Sharon and Russell Schultz of Grand Island; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; three sisters, Lottie Faith of Creighton, Alma Korb of McCook and Everal Ritterling of Longmont, CO; two brothers, Jasper Hubbard of Guide Rock and Clarence Hubbard of Casper, WY.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her daughter, Phyllis, a granddaughter, one sister and five brothers.
