Funeral Rites Held for William J. Bell

Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at the Hengstler Chapel for William J. Bell. The Rev. H.F. Beebe, pastor of the Methodist church, officiated. Burial was in Greenwood cemetery. Pallbearers were Louis Burns, John Scheer, Fred Hasenpflug, R. E. Noyer, Guy James and Leo Hasenpflug.

Mr. Bell met his death Monday, April 14 when the car he was driving plunged into a ravine near Niobrara and he was pinned in the car under water. Death was caused by drowning.

William J. Bell, son of Samuel and Martha Bell, was born Dec. 1, 1875 in Wisconsin. He was 74 years of age at the time of his death.

Mr. Bell was united in marriage to Miss Emma McMillen. No children were born to this union.

He was a mason by trade and had lived in Creighton for many years.

Surviving are one foster daughter and son-in-law, Sfc. and Mrs. Elmer D. Hull and six grandchildren, Davida, Leland, Bernard and Sherry Hull, Geraldiene Johnson and Sharon Fredrickson.
