The rites were held at the Hengstler Chapel with the Rev. J.R. Rayborne officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Bell had not been feeling well most of the summer, but it was not until last Tuesday night that she suddenly became seriously ill and was taken to the hospital the following morning.
Emma McMillen was born at Knoxville, Iowa, July 30, 1880. She was united in marriage to W.J. Bell at Knoxville, December 11, 1919. They moved to Omaha,living there for about a year, when they came to Creighton, which has since been their home.
She was a member of the Methodist Church, being baptized at the Knoxville Church.
Surviving are her husband; an adopted daughter, Mrs. Leo Macke of South Sioux city; one sister, Mrs. Ella Brobst of Knoxville, Ia.; and six brothers, James, John, Charles, Adolph, Alexander and Roscoe McMillen, who live in various parts of the country.
