Funeral Services Held for Walter Bell Sunday

Funeral services were conducted at two o'clock Sunday afternoon for Walter Eugene Bell, who died in a Lincoln hospital May 4 after a brief illness. The Rev. H.F. Beebe, pastor of the Methodist church, officiated at the rites, which were held at the Hengstler funeral chapel. Burial was in Greenwood cemetery.

Pallbearers were Ray Elwood, Louis Burns, John Scheer, Albert Bonge, A.L. Smith and Harold Seaman.

Walter Eugene Bell, son of Martha and Samuel Bell, was born in Mason City, Ia. Oct. 31, 1877. He was past 72 years of age at his death. He spent the greater part of his life in Knox county, coming here with his family at an early age.

On Dec. 21, 1937, he was united in marriage to Mrs. Sena Lee.

His wife, a brother, William Bell, of Creighton and other relatives survive. His parents and two sisters, Mrs. Maude Bailey and Mrs. Emma Bradley, preceded him in death.

Out of town relatives and friends attending the services were Mrs. Ellen Baker of Grand Island, R.C. Bailey and Mrs. Rand of Harvard, Miss Edith Bailey and Mrs. Jess Doll of Omaha, Mr. and Mrs. E.R. Timmermier of Waterloo, Mr. and Mrs. B.M. Bradley of Madison, Wis. and Mrs. E.O. Boll, Don and Duane Boll of Scribner.
