Dillard Jerome Cook moved to Billings in 1930 and worked as a salesman for Billings Dry Goods Co. until retiring in 1950. He died at age 100 in Yellowstone County Nursing Home.
Mr. Cook was a member of Al Bedoo Shrine, Scottish Rite Bodies and a life member of Ashlar Masonic Lodge.
He was born July 26, 1879, in Elk Park, N.C., a son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Cook, and in 1906 married Hattie Matney. He moved to Roundup in 1912 and worked for Hendrick Mercantile Co. for 10 years, then managed Winton Trading Co. in Kline for eight years. His wife died in 1936.
Survivors include a son, Donald Cook of Great Falls; three daughters, Mrs. Frank (Lucille) Rom of Roundup, Mrs. Irene Nor of Eureka, Calif., and Mrs. Margaret Soza of San Jose, Calif.; a brother and sister, both in Tennessee; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in Roundup United Methodist Church. Cremation has taken place with Smith Downtown Chapel in charge.
