Conrad D. Cook, 93, Elizabethton, died Sunday, Aug. 30, 1987, in Veterans Administration Medical Center Hospital, Mountain Home, after a brief illness.


He was a native of Watauga County, N.C., but had lived in Elizabethton 20 years. He was a son of the late Thomas and Margaret Harmon Cook. Mr. Cook was a retired farmer. He was a World War I Army veteran. He was a member of East Side Free Will Baptist Church.


Mr. Cook was preceded in death by his wife, Ollie Stansberry Cook, in 1962, and by a son.


Survivors include four daughters, two sons, 19 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
