Donald J. Cook, 87, of Great Falls, a retired businessman, died of natural causes Saturday at a local nursing home.
Cremation has taken place. Services are 3 p.m. Wednesday at O'Connor Memorial Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Fellowship, 2621 15th Ave. S., Great Falls, MT 59405.
He was born July 31, 1909 in Montezuma, N.C., and graduated from Roundup High School in 1927. He served in the Coast Guard during World War II.
Since 1948 he was involved in several local businesses, including insurance companies, grocery stores and sales.
He was a member of the Masons and Scottish Rite, and enjoyed fly fishing and hunting. In his later years he became an active snow skier.
Survivors include a daughter, Annalee LaRosa of San Diego; a son, Thomas Cook of Lolo; two sisters, Lucille Rom of Fox Island, Wash., and Irene Nore of Eureka, Calif.; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
