Draper: Archibald Smith, 90 died January 20,1979 in a Murray hospital of causes incident to age.

Born April 15,1888 in Draper, Utah to Joseph Michael and Celestia Ann Smith.

Married Bertha Lovina Crane in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on May 12,1915. Served in Southern States Mission 1911-1912. Served as President of the Elders Quorum, also one of the Seven Presidents of the 73rd Quorum of Seventies for 15 years. Served two terms as Stake Missionary in the East Jordan Stake. Was a geneology and temple worker. Active member of High Priest Quorum to time of death.

Survivors: Wife, sons and daughters. Mrs Vern (Wilma) Richins, Calvin C, Murray W. Mrs Russell E (Clara) Stephensen, Joseph Milton, Lynn C and Ray L. all of Draper. Mrs Virgil L. (Barbara) Jenks, Wendell Idaho; 51 grandchildren; 49 great grandchildren; brothrs, Fera L. Salt Lake; Isaac Homer, Fair Oaks, California; Elmer M. Sandy: Sisters, Mrs Northrop (Ann) Garfield, Draper: Mrs Leslie (Rose) Fairbourn, Crescent; and Mrs Rulon (Beatrice)Dansie, Riverton.

Funeral sevices Wednesday, 12:30 p.m. in the Draper 2nd and 6th Ward. 12900 So. 1300 East. Friends may call at the Goff Mortuary 8090 So. State Tuesday 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday at the Church one hour prior to sevices. Burial Draper Cemetery.
