Paul B. Pierce , 59, 806 15th St., Rock Island Illinios died Sunday December 21, 1986, at the Franciscan Hospital. Funeral service was at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 24 at the Hodgen Funeral Home. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy should take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.Mr. Paul Pierce was a supervisor for the Rock Island Centennial Bridge Commission, last working in August. He also had been employed at the former Coca-Cola Bottling Works, Davenport. He married Jeanette Dettmann in 1953 in Rock Island, who survives. He was a member of the Church of Peace United Church of Christ, Rock Island, Illinois. Survivors in addition to his wife include two sons and three daughters; one granddaughter, three sisters, Geneva Hunt , Juanita Dickens, both of Campbellsville Ky, and Louise Crockett, Davenport, Iowa; one brother; Gene Pierce of Owensboro, Ky and one half-brother; Kenny Pierce of Campbellsville, Ky; and his father Alvin Roscoe Pierce, and his step-mother Elsie Underwood Pierce, also of Campbellsville Ky. He was perceded by one son Paul Buckner Pierce in 1956.
