~*~ My beautiful aunt ~*~
The death angel quietly visited my aunt Geneva at her home in New Mac, Taylor County, Kentucky on September 7, 2017 and lifted her worn out little body and took her to Heaven . She slipped away quietly and peacefully to the ranks of loved ones on the other side---a fitting entrance to the more beautiful and perfect life beyond. She passed quietly in her sleep this morning with her husband and son and daughter and son in law by her side . Gosh, how do I even begin to tell you how wonderful this woman was, and how much she loved her family and always tried to take care of us all. Mrs. Geneva Pierce Hunt, daughter of the late Roscoe and Mattie Brewer Pierce, was born on March 28, 1933 in Taylor County. She departed this life on Thursday, September 7, 2017 in New Mac, Taylor County, Kentucky. Mrs. Hunt professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. She had worked at the Fruit of the Loom plant in Campbellsville several years, but her calling in life was to be a wife, mother, and grandmother. In her spare time, she loved to read or raise flowers, and considered yard sales and auctions social events as well as a place to find a good bargain or two. She leaves to cherish her memory, Her husband ,one daughter and one son. Two sisters and one half brother. Two granddaughters. Four great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Hunt on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 12:00 noon in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro Freddy Thompson will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 3878 Greensburg Rd, Campbellsville, KY. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, Sept. 9 after 11:00 AM until time for the funeral. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials in the form of donations to the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Building Fund or the Galilean Children's Home.
