Funeral services for Edward Lee Pierce, 16 years of age, were held Friday from the Otter Creek Baptist Church, with the Rev. J. H. Bloyd in charge. Burial was in the church cemetery. Young Pierce was the son of Roscoe Pierce who survives him, and the late Mattie Ermine Brewer Pierce. He died at the Lebanon Hospital , Thursday after a two weeks illness of sugar diabetes. He leaves two brothers and three sisters; Gene Pierce,
Owensboro Ky, Paul Pierce,Rock Island , Illinois, Geneva Pierce, Louise Pierce, and Juanita Pierce, at home. His mother preceded him in death four years ago. He also leaves two grandparents, Robert Lee Pierce, Owensboro, Ky, and George Washington Brewer, Larue County. Pallbearers were: Glenn Spratt, Hiestand Johnson, Len Gilpin, Bill Pierce, Eugene Durham,Garland Railey. Flowerbearers were: Catherine Wright
