Born July 14, 1911, in Montrose, he was the son of Edmund O. and Charlotte (Rudd) Senf. In 1930, he married Mary Hardinger in Ft. Madison. She died in 1936. He then married Lillie Sarbaugh in 1938 in Fort Madison. She died in 1940. He then married Irene Krogmeier on Nov. 20, 1944 in Ft. Madison.
Mr. Senf was a lifelong resident of Montrose. He retired from Sheaffer Pen Company in 1974 after 43 years of service.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Church and the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife of Montrose; two sons, Ron Senf of Yuma, AZ, and Rick Senf of Montrose; three daughters, Elsie Tweedy and Joyce Weirather, both of Keokuk, and Linda Senf of Montrose; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; one brother, Howard Senf of Denmark; one sister, Elsie Hoenig of Danville, a number of nephews and nieces.
Besides his first two wives, he was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
Friends may call after noon and a parish Rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. Wednesday at King-Lynk Funeral Home, Fort Madison, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m.
The funeral for Mr. Senf will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Church with the Rev. Tim Sheedy officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
A memorial has been established.
