Born Nov. 10, 1881, in Lee County, she had spent the last nine years in Fort Madison. She was married to E. O. (Jack) Senf on March 5, 1899 in Lee County. She belonged to the New Boston Methodist Church, VFW Auxiliary, and the Gold Star Mothers.
Mrs. Senf is survived by her husband; four sons, Herman, Montrose, Howard, Denmark, George and Oscar, both local; one daughter, Mrs. Joe Hoenig, RR2; three brothers, Vess Rudd, Montrose, and Hugh and Dick, both local; two sisters, Mrs. Ross (Vina) Carroll, Bluford, IL and Mrs. Emmett (Lena) Hardin, Rock Island, IL; 18 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren. A son, a brother and a sister are dead.
The funeral will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home with the Rev. Fred Rowley officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. (Guy McVey, pg. 50)
