Coroner William B. Crandall of Westfield had issued a certificate of accidental death Monday, holding that the man's death was not the fault of the operator of the car, Jay M. Branning of Jamestown. Mr. Branning reported that in the fog he did not see Mr. Brown on the track ahead until too late to stop the car.

Mr. Brown had been employed at the Veneer Panel Works in Jamestown for about a yr and had made his home with his sister, Mrs. Alberta Wade, of Falconer.

He was born in Randolph March 23, 1899. He attended Little Valley High School and later lived in Cleveland and Conneaut, where he was employed for abt 10 yrs as a rodman for the Nickle Plate railroad. In September, 1921, he married Miss Ruth Ryan of Cleveland. Mrs. Brown survives, residing in Chicago, where she has employment and makes her home with a man.

Other surviving members of his family, in addition to his widow and parents, are one brother, Paul Brown, of Randolph; 4 sisters: Mrs. Frances Rice of Randolph, Mrs. Alberta Wade of Falconer, Mrs. Aletha Frame of Kennedy and Mrs. Isadora Gaylord of Syracuse.

Bearers at the funeral Tuesday afternoon were B. F. Wade, Jr., Roger Frame, Robert Wade, Rolland Harkness, Clark Wiltsie and Carver Wiltsie. Burial was in Randolph cemetery. Relatives and friends were present from Little Valley, Frewsburg, Kennedy, Falconer, Williamsville and Syracuse.
