Jane Atwell married Earnest Edward Kightinger on 14 Mar 1896 in Tionesta, Forest Co., PA. Between 1899 and 1909 they had 3 children that they named: Bertha I., Edward Arthur and Delbert DeWayne Kightinger.

Jennie and Earnest are both resting now in the Franklin Cemetery. After her death in 1929 her husband, Earnest, married a second time.

"Mrs Ernest Kightlinger - Services in memory of Mrs Ernest Kightlinger were conducted from the home of her daughter, Mrs W H Martin, 323 East Spring street, at 1:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon, Rev F M Redinger, pastor of the First M E church, officiating.

There was a large attendance of relatives and friends and many beautiful floral tributes. The hymn 'Rest Weary Pilgrim' was read and, at the conclusion of the service, the funeral party motored to Franklin for the interment, the following acting as pall-bearers: Roy E Goodwill, George Propheter, Earl Belknap and Walter Martin."
