B. Marie Schwartz, 82, Great Bend, formerly of Liebenthal, died Thursday, March 22, 2012, at Clara Barton Hospital, Hoisington.

She was born April 16, 1929, in Liebenthal to Alex and Mary (Doerfler) Pfeifer.

She married Maurice C. Schwartz on July 29, 1947, in Liebenthal. She was a nurse's aide and volunteer at Central Kansas Medical Center.

She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Patrick Catholic Church, the Altar Society, Daughters of Isabella, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 3111 Ladies Auxiliary, all of Great Bend.

Survivors include her husband, of the home; seven sons, Robert Schwartz and wife, Barbara, Danny Schwartz and wife, Stacy, Bill Schwartz and wife, Jaynee, Kenny Schwartz and wife, Dawn, and Kevin Schwartz and wife, Shelby Jones, all of Great Bend, Duane Schwartz and wife, Diane, Grand Island, Neb., and Keith Schwartz and wife, Kay, Salina; three daughters, Kathy Pedigo and husband, Don, Great Bend, Elaine Miller and husband, Craig, McPherson, and Pam Stegman and husband, Tom, Oklahoma City; a brother, Joe Pfeifer, Hays; two sisters, Elenora Schmidt, Great Bend, and Caroline Stoecklein, Alva, Okla.; 29 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Celestine Pfeifer and Jerry Pfeifer; two sisters, Florence Matal and Armella Schmidt; and two great-grandchildren, Matthew Kearn and Faith Hitts.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Great Bend; burial in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Great Bend.

Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Bryant Funeral Home, Great Bend.

An Altar Society rosary will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

A vigil with Daughters of Isabella rosary will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Prince of Peace Altar Society or Daughters of Isabella, in care of the funeral home.
