Argyle- Atty. J.D. Darrow, who practiced law in Argyle since 1911, died Monday at his home of a heart attack.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Thursday in the Argyle Methodist Church. Masonic graveside rites will be conducted at Woodlawn cemetery.

Mr. Darrow, who was born in Fayette township, was a graduate of the Darlington High School and the University of Wisconsin Law School. He was married in 1910 to Mabel Kinsman, and practiced law a year in Platteville before coming to Argyle.

He was a former village president, a court commissioner for many years, a former president of the Lafayette County Bar Assn., and a member and former district governor of the Wisconsin State Bar Assn.

Mr. Mason was a 32nd degree Mason, a member of the Order of Eastern Star, and belonged to the Zor Shrine temple of Madison.

He was the father of Mrs. Helen Hildenbrant, Madison.

Also surviving are his wife; a son, Russell M., Milwaukee; a brother, William, St. Petersburg, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Marie Cassidy, Waldwick, and Mrs. Blanche Schoff, Rockford, Ill. ; and four grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Erickson funeral home from this afternoon until 10:30 am Thursday, when the body will be taken to the church.
