Obituary: Pat Grass - Faribault -

Mrs. Donald (Pat) Grass, 74, of Faribault, died Monday, June 25, 2001, at Infinia of Faribault Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Cathoic Church, Faribault, with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Faribault. Visitation is scheduled for 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home, Faribault, with the parish prayers at 5 p.m. and memorial service by members of Faribault Aerie 1460, Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxilliary at 6:30 p.m. There will be no visitation on Friday.

Patricia Gertrude Van Wychen, the daughter of William J. and Alice (Leahy) Van Wychen, was born July 18, 1926. She was raised in Faribault and graduated from Faribault High School in 1943. She married Donald E. Grass on Jan. 22, 1949, at Immaculate Conception Church in Faribault. He preceded her in death on March 27, 1985. She worked for Pluemer Business Service for 15 years, and was self-employed as an income tax preparer for the majority of her working career. She was a member of the Faribault Eagles Auxiliary.

She is survived by a daughter, --- of Faribault; a son, --- of Lakeville; four grandchildren; a great-grandson; a step great-granddaughter; two sisters, Catherine Peterson of Rock Island, Ill., ClariceBabcock of Moline, Ill.; three brothers, Donald J. Van Wychen of Taylor Ridge, Ill, Robert O. (and Betty) Van Wychen of Rock Island, Ill., and Francis J. (and Ruby) Van Wychen of San Antonio, Texas; two sisters-in-law, Ardis Van Wychen of Faribault and Carrie Jacobsen of Andover; a brother-in-law, David (and Eleanor) Grass of Grass Valley, Calif.; nices, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a brother, William A. Van Wychen; a nephew; three nieces; three brothers-in-law, Clar Peterson, Birdge Babcock and Wade (Helen) Sage; and two sisters-in-law, Betty Van Wychen and Eunice Drake.
