SALUDA — Jacob Levi (Jake) Grigsby, 98, of Rt. 4, Saluda, a retired farmer, died Wednesday at his home.

He was a native of Saluda, a son of the late R.L. and Eugenia Smith Grisby.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ada Lester Grigsby; five daughters, Mrs. Martin (Sue) Terry and Mrs. Marion (Kathleen) Jones, both of N. Augusta, Mrs. Floyd (Telulah) Worley of Nichols, Mrs. Joe (Elma) Miley of Brunson and Mrs. J.C. (Joye) Johnson of Saluda; two sons, J.L. Grigsby Jr. of Saluda and the Rev. James A. Grigsby of Rock Hill; one sister, Mrs. Sudie Matthews of Saluda; 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday at 3 p.m. at Emory United Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery.

The body is at Ramey North Chapel and will be placed in the church at 2 p.m.
