MRS. SALLIE BROWN

SALUDA – Mrs. Sallie Grigsby Brown, 90, widow of Robert N. Brown, died Monday at her home after a short illness.

She was born in Saluda County, a daughter of the late Ryde and Eugenia Smith Grigsby. She was a member of Bishop Dorsey Circle and the Willing Workers Club.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Edmond Margorie DeMar of Deal Island, Md., and Mrs. Vincent Louise Hoover of Columbia: two sons, George Brown of Columbia and B. S. Brown of Saluda; a sister, Mrs. Sudie Matthews of Orangeburg; a brother, J. L. Grigsby Sr. of Saluda; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

Services will be 3:30 p.m. today in St. Paul United Methodist Church with burial in Travis Park Cemetery. Ramey Funeral Home is in charge.
