MRS. JEANETTE MATHEWS
SALUDA – Mrs. Jeanette Caroline Grigsby Mathews, 102, widow of Dr. T.B. Mathews, died Wednesday in a Saluda nursing center.
Born in Saluda, she was a daughter of the late Rioden and Eugenia Smith Grigsby.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. I.S. Harley of Orangeburg; two sons, Candler G. Mathews of Saluda and T. Grigsby Mathews of Rockmart, Ga.; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services were at 9:30 a.m. today at Dukes-Harley Funeral Home. Services were today at 5 p.m. at Saluda Presbyterian Church, with burial in Travis Park Cemetery, Saluda.
