Ellsworth Auchampaugh, 71, lifelong resident of the Delanson section, died suddenly Monday afternoon, victim of a heart attack.
Mr. Auchampaugh was born in the Town of Knox, son of the late Milo and Mercy Ann Stevens Auchampaugh.
For many years he has resided on Delanson, R.D.4, the Quaker Street-Gallupville road, in the Town of Wright. He was a farmer.
His survivors include his widow, Augusta Saddlemire Auchampaugh, to whom he was married 46 years ago; two sons, Roland Auchampaugh, rural mail carrier, of Delanson; Willis Auchampaugh, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Cecil Westfall, Delanson; Mrs. Omer Snyder, Lee's Corners; a sister, Mrs. Melinda Liddle, Schenectady, and five grandchildren.
Mr. Auchampaugh was a member of the Christian church at Quaker Street.
Funeral was held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the late home. Rev. John J. Prudom, pastor of the Delanson Methodist church, officiated.
Burial was in Grove Cemetery, Quaker Street.
