Roland Auchampaugh, 66, of Delanson, died suddenly April 18 while at work as an RFD mail carrier. A lifelong resident of Delanson, Mr. Auchampaugh was employed as a mail carrier for 42 years and was a member of Duane Grange 1529 and also a member of the Schenectady County Mail Carriers association He was a veteran of World War I.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lillian Teeling Auchampaugh of Delanson; one son, Walter A. Auchampaugh of Schenectady; a brother, Willis Auchampaugh of Buffalo; two sisters, Mrs. Cecil Westfall of Delanson and Mrs. Omer Snyder of Burnt Hills; his mother, Augusta Auchampaugh of Delanson; also two grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. [Sunday] from the White Funeral Home, Delanson. Rev. Robert Griffen, pastor of the Delanson Methodist church, will officiate. The home will be open Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. Burial will be in Grove cemetery, Quaker Street.
