Forsyth Matron Dies in Hospital

FORSYTH, MT.---- Mrs. Nancy Jane Sample, 67, resident of the community since 1919, died in a local hospital Friday, following an illness of six weeks.
She was born in West Grove, Iwa, Aug. 23, 1889, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Abner Fountain.

She lived in Iowa the early part of her life.

She was married to Elmer Sample of Ottumwa, Iowa, Oct. 12, 1912.

They came to Rosebud County in 1919, farming near Finch, and on Armells Creek for 13 years.
They moved o Forsyth in 1936.
Mr. Sample died in 1945.

Serv ices will be at Beals Chapel in Forsyth at 2 p.m. in Forsyth with Rev. Leo Tormoehlen officiating.
Mrs. Helen Perey will be in charge of the music.

Burial will be in the family plot at the local cemetery.
Surviving are 12 children. Mrs. Edna Flannagan, Grace Sample, Mrs. Vesta Landreth, Mrs. Ethel Byerly, Mrs. Edith Schmidt, Mrs. Elsie Hein, Mrs. Elma Rogers, and Earl Sample and Arthur Sample all of Forsyth, MT.; George Sample of Derr Lodge, MT., Mrs. Eva Miller of Ingomar, MT.
29 grandchildren.

Also surviving are a brother and three sisters, Lewis Fountain of Grandview WA.; Mrs. Mary Howard and Mrs. Sadie White of Paluski, IA., and Mrs. Mattie Billips of Cadwell, ID.
