Allen is the sone of Thomas "Tom" Warner Gamel and Leathy Allen EVANS Gamel.

Allen married Bertha DAY. To this union were born these known children: Allexie, Susie and Joyce GAMEL.

"Allen Gamel, Funeral Pends

STANTON--Funeral is pending at Hilbreath Funeral Home here for Allen Gamel, 59, who died this morning in a Big Spring hospital.

Mr. Gamel was born Feb. 6, 1911, in Mason County. He had been a resident of Big Spring about two months, moving here from Ozona. He was retired from Northern Butane Co., Ozona. He had been ill for over a year.

Survivors include his wife, Bertha, Big Spring; his mother, Mrs. Leathy Gamel, Big Spring; three daughters, Allexie Elliott, Susie Overby and Joyce Arsenaux, all of Midland; three sisters, Mrs. B. D. Day, Big Spring, Maggie Gray, Arlington, and Nettie Martin, Midland; five brothers, J. W. Gamel, Leornard Gamel, Bill Gamel and Alton Gamel, all of Midland, and Leo Gamel, Massachusetts, and several grandchildren."

"Allen Gamel, Thursday Rites
STANTON--Allen Hester Gamel, 59, died Monday at 3:45 a.m. in a Big Spring hospital after a lengtly illness.

Services are set for Thursday at 3 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Stanton with O. N. Reid, of Travis Baptist Church in Midland, officiating assisted by Floyd Dunn, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Stanton. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton under the direction of Gilbreath Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Bertha, Big Spring; three daughters, Mrs. Edward Elliott, Midland, Mrs. Billy Overby, Midland, and Mrs. Curtis Arceneaux, Midland; his mother, Mrs Leathy Gamel, Big Spring; three sisters, Mrs. B. D. Day, Big Spring, Mrs. Fred Martin, Midland, and Mrs. Lester Grey, Arlington; five brothers, Alton Gamel, J. W. Gamel, Ben Gamel, and Bill Gamel of Midland, and Leo Gamel, Webster, Mass.; eight grandchildren."
