Tom is the son of Thomas Wesley (Thomas Wiley on headstone but, Wesley is the correct middle name)Gamel and Mary G. CAVINESS Gamel. Tom was born at Bluff Creek, near Streeter, Mason Co., TX.

Tom married Leathy Allen EVANS on August 4, 1907 at Mason, Mason Co., TX. To this union were born these known children: Nettie Melvina, Alton Warner, Allen Hester, Raymond Carl, Thomas Leo, Mary Violet, Zelda Marie, James Wesley, Maggie Mae, Leonard Amos "Ben" and William August Gamel.

"Gamel Rites Set Today In Stanton

Funeral for Thomas Warner Gamel, 62, will be held at 4 p.m. today at the First Methodist Church in Stanton with the Rev. Noel Bryant, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.

Gamel, who had resided near Stanton for 10 years before he moved to Midland in January, died at a Lamesa hospital Wednesday.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Lethey [sic, Leathy] Gamel; seven sons, Alton Gamel, Knott; Allen Gamel, Stanton; R. C. Gamel, Corpus Christi; Lea [sic, Leo], US Navy; Leonard Gamel, US Marine Corps; J. W. Gamel and Bill Gamel, Midland; three daughters, Mrs. Nettie Martin, Lenorah; Mrs. Zelda Day, Knott; Mrs. Maggie Gray, Big Spring.

Pallbearers will be Bill Howell, Cliff Castleberry, S. J. Foreman, L. Sanders, Herman Davenport, Sterling Tunnell. Eberley-Curry Funer Home is in charge of arrangements."
