Nettie Blackburn
Rites Planned
Nettie Mae Blackburn, 87, a native of Iowa and a resident of Boulder Creek for the last 17 years, died today in a local rest home. She moved here from Berkeley.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Macdonald of San Francisco; a son, Earl C. Hensley of Ukiah; two sisters, Louise Espinosa of Monterey and Josephine Hobson of Chicago, Ill; a brother, Homer Bennett of Jasonville, Ind.; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was the wife of the late James Eldridge Blackburn.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Wessendorf and Thal chapel with Rev. Thomas D. Ewing, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, officiating. Interment will follow in the IOOF cemetery.

Blackburn – In Soquel, California, August 22, 1960, Nettie Mae Blackburn. Wife of the late James Eldridge Blackburn; mother of Mrs. Dorothy MacDonald of San Francisco, and Earl C. Hensley of Ukiah; sister of Louise Espinosa of Monterey, Homer Bennett of Jasonville, Ind., and Josephine Hobson of Chicago, Ill., also survived by two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Native of Iowa, aged 87 years.
Services will be conducted at Wesendorf & Thal, Inc. Wednesday, August 24th at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Thomas D. Ewing of the First Presbyterian Church officiating.
Friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Interment in IOOF Cemetery.
