MRS. WALTER E. HILCHEY
Mrs. Walter E. Hilchey, the former Freda Baker, 71, died at Putnam Memorial Hospital Tuesday afternoon after an illness of seven months.
Born in Bennington Oct 16, 1888, she was the daughter of the late Frank J. and Adelaide Cass Baker. Her education had been received in Bennington schools. She was married to Louis A. Morse, who is deceased. Her second marriage was to Walter E. Hilchey at Greenwich, N.Y.*** (actually Bennigton)
Her home and family had been her chief interest. She enjoyed her family and especially her grandchildren.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Morse Welch, Bennington and Mrs. Adelaide Morse Fraser; four sons, Ronald B. Morse, Williamstown, Mass., Stephen F, Walter H. and Robert L. Hilchey, Bennington. Fifteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren are left.
The funeral will be held from Mahar Funeral Home Friday at 2 pm with the Rev. Frederick B. Wolf, rector of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, officiating. Entombment will be in Park Lawn vault.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7:30 tonight and then at their convenience.
