Violet had a difficult life, she was mother & widow of eleven children by 1943. The youngest was less then a year old. The eldest child was only 19 years old.
Violet worked thought out her life raising and feeding her remaining children; she worked at the Mills in Bridgton and then removed to Lovell and Worcester Mills in Massachusetts for better pay. Violet never remarried, after the death of her husband Earland.
Earland was killed accidently; he was tearing down a old home with plans to re-use the timber by adding to his own home. Especially, given his family increasing size. The building collapsed, crashing and killing Earland. His brother-in-laws, Melbert Bennet and Erland Browne found him inside the collapsed site.
All eleven children were born and raised in Bridgton, Maine. Many removed to Massachusetts along with their mother due to work and better pay as well in the 1950s. Most of Violet and Earland's sons enlisted in the Military and made it thier life career.
Violet like her father died from complication due to her severe Diabetes.
Violet's memorial service was held in Casco, Maine and burial beside her husband at Forest Hills in Bridgton, Maine. Their young daughter Patty is buried beside them. Number of thier other children are buried near by as well. Violet and Earland parents and many siblings can all so be found at this same cemetery.
