Word has been received of the death of Mrs. Ella B. Madson, 94, of LaCrosse, Wisconsin. Mrs. Madson died July 29 in a LaCrosse nursing home.
She was born April 16, 1888 in Hartland to Ole and Nikolene (Hallum) Knudson.
She is survived by five daughters; Mrs. Margaret Cravens, Mrs. Tena Oldenburg, Mrs. Hazel Rick and Mrs. Norina Walchak all of LaCrosse, and Mrs. Roman (Anna) Lenzen of Gurene, Ill.Sixteen grandchildren; forty great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; one sister Mrs. Olga Einertson of Limon, Colorado; and one brother Ted Knutson of Limon, Colorado.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thorvold; one daughter; one son; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; six sisters and four brothers.
Interment was in the Oak Grove Cemetery, LaCrosse, Wisconsin.
Marriage
Thursday morning July 11th, 1907, occurred the marriage of Miss Ella B. Knutson to Mr. Thorvald O. Madson.
The ceremony was preformed at the West Lutheran church in Manchester at 11 o'clock. rev. J.J. Strand officiated.
Only relatives and a few initiate friends were present at the ceremony.
The bride was attended by Miss Clara Hellum and Lewis O. Knutson, brother of the bride attended the groom.
Both the bride and groom were born and grew up in this county and are highly respected young people, and have the best wishes of their numerous friends for a bright and happy future.
They will remain on the Ole Madson farm until fall when they go to Colorado to reside permanently.
