Mary Muehe was born on January 13, 1916 on the family farm north of Spring Hill, Stearns County, Minnesota. She was the 6th of the 11 children of Charles "Carl" and Mary (Pung) Schoenberg.
Mary Schoenberg married Lawrence W. Muehe in 1940 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Spring Hill, Minn. The couple were very respected in Galveston County where they lived for more than 60 years, including the following cities in Galveston County, Texas: Meskill, Texas City, West Texas City.
Mary & Lawrence Muehe were the parents of 5 children, all of which survive both their parents:
Lawrence (Karen) Muehe, College Stn, TX
David (Jannie) Muehe, Bayou Vista, TX
Dennis (Susie) Muehe, Spring TX
Louis Paul (Elaine) Muehe Montgomery, TX
Linda (Perry) Minor, Texas City, TX
Mary Muehe passed away on July 9, 2004 in St. Joseph Manor in Bryan, Texas. In addition to her 5 children, she is survived by 16 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, two sisters, Apollonia "Bunny" Troje and Alice Williams, both of St. Paul, Minnesota.
Mary & Lawrence were married for more than 61 years when Lawrence Muehe passed away on Sept 7, 2001; 3 year before Mary. She was also preceded in death by her mother, Mary Schoenberg, in Dec 1970 and the following month, Jan 1971, her father Charles Schoenberg.
