Services will be Sat. Mar. 15, 2003 11 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Spring Hill for Lena M. Neubauer, age 93 of Melrose who died Wed. Mar. 12, 2003 at Pine Villa Care Center in Melrose. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call Friday from 4 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 8 to 10:30 a.m. at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose. Parish prayers will be Friday at 6:30 p.m. followed by Christian Mothers at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Lena Neubauer was born on Apr. 14, 1909 in Spring Hill Township, Stearns County MN to Charles and Mary Pung Schoenberg. She married Norbert J. Neubauer on Sept. 8, 1936 in Spring Hill. Lena enjoyed knitting, quilting and playing cards. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Christian Women of Spring Hill, Catholic Aid and St. Mary's Mission group.
Survivors include her children, Roseann Finken (James) of Albany, Roman Neubauer (Judy) of Blaine, Harvey Neubauer (Phillis) of Spring Hill; brothers and sisters, Mary Muehe of Texas City TX, Bunny Troje of St. Paul, Alice Williams (Pete) of St. Paul; sisters-in-law, Rose Schoenberg of Paynesville, Lilian Schoenberg of Greenwald, Esther Schoenberg of Cold Spring; brothers-in-law, Elmer Gerding of Melrose; 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
