Julia was born Oct. 18, 1854 in Greenwich was the fifth of eight children of Willard & Jane Hopkins. She had siblings William, Albert, Frank, Jane, Dora, Armon, George & two half sisters Mary & Lucy from her father's first wife Lucy.
She was listed in the 1880 Greenwich census as a dress maker and single.
Julia married Freeman Clawson on Feb. 26, 1885 and had a son Milton born in 1890.
She & Freeman had been married 37 years when she died on Oct. 13, 1922. She is buried at Greenlawn Cemetery in Greenwich along with Freeman who died in 1923 in sec. 5, row 3, st. 2.

JULIA E. CLAWSON, married to Freeman Clawson, visiting Shelby, OH, passed away at 10:30 pm. on Oct. 13, 1922, two days after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage to left side of brain and paralyzed right half of body. She was five days short of 68 yrs.
Informant was son, Milton B. Clawson, residing at 1748 Coit Rd., E. Cleveland. He listed Julia was born in Greenwich on Oct. 18, 1854. Her parents were Willard Hopkins, born in New Jersey and mother, Jane Hopkins, born in New York. Interment was at Greenlawn Cemetery, Greenwich, OH on Oct. 16, 1922.
