Mrs. Viola E. Walk. 93, a former Howards Grove resident, died Tuesday evening, June 27, 1989, at a Chicago area hospital.
The former Viola Kuester was born April 27, 1898 in the Town of Herman, the daughter of the late Henry and Bertha Bramstedt Kuester. On January 10, 1920 she married Gustave William Walk. The couple engaged in farming in the Cleveland area, until the death of Gustave in 1948.
Viola was a homemaker and life-long member of Trinity Lutheran Church, in Howards Grove and was a charter member of the church's Ladies Aid.
Survivors include three daughters, Alice (Jacob) Weber, of Sheboygan; Deloris (Donald) De Buhr, of Shawano; Jean (Marvin) Kroeplein, of Sheboygan Falls, a son, Rev. K.H. Walk, of Chicago; grandchildren, great-grandchildren; two brothers, Henry, of Kiel; Norbert, of Sheboygan and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, 12 noon at Trinity Lutheran Church, Howards Grove. Rev. Darrel Bergelin, the pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Friday, from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
