Harley G. Kuester, 75, of 2317 Broadway, died at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital Saturday following a prolonged illness.
He was born in Howards Grove, Feb. 11, 1900, a son of the late Henry and Bertha Kuester. He attended school in the Town of Herman. Mr. Kuester worked at Kohler Co. for 10 years and then farmed in Herman until 1957.
On March 12, 1957 he married Miss Adela Burhop at Hinkley, Ill. He worked at Sheboygan Greenhouse Co. until retiring in 1962. Mr. Kuester was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and a former member of its Men's Club.
Surviving are his widow; three brothers, Norbert of Sheboygan, Henry of Kiel and Willard of Howards Grove, and two sisters, Mrs. Viola Walk of Town of Herman and Mrs. Clifford Sackett of Sheboygan.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Ramm-Ziegler Funeral Home, Rev. Robert Stellwagen, pastor of Good Shepherd Church, officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today and until time of service Tuesday. A memorial fund has been established in Mr. Kuester's name for Good Shepherd Church.
