DEATH TAKES MRS. SUPALLA
Mrs. William Supalla, 79, of East Pleasant Plain, passed away last night at 9:50 in the Jefferson county hospital where she had been a patient for the past week. Mrs. Supalla had been in poor health for some time and since the death of her husband had made her home with her children most of the time.
The daughter of Mathias and Johanah Drish, she was born March 9, 1869 in Chicago, Illinos and later came to Pleasant Plain with her parents. She was married to William Supalla in 1891 and was the mother of ten children. Her husband and one daughter, Mrs. Nellie Mineart, preceded her in death.
She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Walter Wehr, of Council Bluffs; Mrs. Glenn McClain, of Davenport; Mrs. Howard Heff (sic. Hess), of Harper, and Mrs. Ed Wittmer, of Germanville; five sons, George and Steve, of Easton, Minnesota; and Anthony, Herman and Joe, of the Pleasant Plain community, forty grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren. Other survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Martha Kasowski and Mrs. Pauline Stewart and a brother, Joe Drish, all of Brighton.
The body is at the Omar Hoskins funeral home in Brighton where Rosary will be spoken Tuesday at 8:10 a.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock in the St. Joseph's church in East Pleasant Plain in charge of the Rev. Father Paul Wetzstein. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
