Death Takes Mrs. POHREN

Mrs. Christena POHREN, 81, 309 W. Madison, died at 5:55 p.m., Monday at the Nelson Nursing Home.

The service will be Thursday at 10 a.m., at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Karl Holtkamp officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Prayers for a Christian wake will be recited on Wednesday at 7 p.m., at the Raymond Funeral Home.

Mrs. POHREN was born Sept. 25, 1895 near Pleasant Plain, the daughter of Mathias and Tekia STELMACH DRISH.

She was reared and educated in Pleasant Plain. She was married to Pehter (sic. Peter Paul POHREN) POHREN on June 12, 1923 in Fairfield. He died Dec. 20, 1972.

She was a member of St. Mary Cahtolic (sic. Catholic) Church and its Altar and Rosary Society.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Orville DENNEY of Fairfield, five grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Leo POHREN of Fairfield.

She was preceded in death by one grandson and six brothers and sisters.
