She married Isaac M."Big Ike" Maltby,and they had 4 children,A son Willie Loyd which only lived a short time,Harley,Oletta,and Verda.They lived around Strong City and Hammon for several years raising cattle and running the first Cafe of Hammon.Myrtle loved to cook ,after they moved to Sayre,Ok she operated The Maltby Cafe there .She loved to sew and to teach anyone that wanted to learn to cook or sew.
Later she married Sam Montgomery on July 16 1951,and conti.to run the cafe for a few yrs .After that she worked in Elk City for many restaurants including the Green Frog. Everyone loved her fresh pies and said she was one of the best cooks in western Oklahoma at home or work.. Her and Sam loved to ride their horses,they were members of the Elk City Roundup Club.They always were there to ride in the Labor Day Parade which were one of their favorite hobbies.Or the trips to California to deep sea fish with family.
She was preceded in death by her parents,her 1st husband Isaac Maltby,one son Willie Loyd Maltby,one grandaughter Glenda Trent of Chickasha.
She is survived by her husband Sam Montgomery of Elk City,OK,one son Harley and wife Cora "Neff" Maltby,two daughters Oletta and husband Eldred Trent of Chickasha,OK,and Verda and husband Lawrence Dick of Elk City,OK.,four grandaughters Linda Maltby,Sue Dick,Jean Dick,and Jo Marilyn Trent of Chickasha..and one grandson Don Maltby of Elk City.2 great grand children Donnie jr, and Jeanna Lou Maltby.

I have not been able to locate grave of Willie Loyd at this time in Oklahoma.If anyone knows where it is please send me a note .
