Verda was born near Moorewood,Ok.to Isaac and Myrtle Jarvis Maltby.She passed away 2007 in Elk City,Oklahoma.She was married to L.E.Dick on Sept.10,1939.at Hammon,Okla.They established their home near Hammon.They lived in Califoria while Lawrence was serving his time in the Navy .In 1945 they returned to Hammon and then in 1949 moved to Elk City,Ok.Where they have lived since.She loved to travel and meet new friends all over the U.S.with her daughters.After her husband retired from Truck driving in 1997 they continued on the road in their motor home.
She was preceded in death by her parents,two brothers Willie L.Maltby,Harley Maltby of Elk City,and one sister Oletta Trent of Chickasha,and one
