Nannie Mae Barnes, 90 of Pelahatchie, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at Crossgates River Oaks in Brandon.

Funeral services will be held at: 11:00am, on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Antioch Baptist Church in Brandon. Burial will be in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00pm until 900pm Friday, November 18, 2011 at Mims Mitchell Funeral Home in Magee and again from 10:00am, Saturday, November 19,2011, until the hour of service at the church.

Nannie Mae (Nancy) enjoyed gardening and listening to music. She had a special love for her family and her Boston Terrier "Pug". Nannie Mae was a member of Antioch Baptist Church for a number of years.

She is survived by her children, Bill (JoAnn) Jones, Pelahatchie, Jo Fortenberry, Pelahatchie, Jackie (Joe) Hedgepeth, Brandon, Buddy Jones, Pelahatchie and Georgie Brown,Pelahatchie; 2 step sons, Don and Jeff Huff, Morton; 12 grandchildren 17 great-grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren.

Ms. Barnes is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas T. & Alice Grubbs Barnes; 9 brothers and 2 sisters.

Pallbearers are Bonnie Fortenberry, Bubba Via, Chase Brown, Lee Barnes, Freddy Price and David Sawyer. Honorary pallbearers are Steve Lott and Chad Brown.
