Funeral services for Mrs. Susan Alice Barnes of Magee were held Wednesday afternoon from the Mount Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Sutton Smith, Rev. C. M. and Rev. W. A. Hall offlciating. Interment was in the Mount Zlon cemetery with Mims Mitchell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Barnes, 77 years old, died Monday at the Simpson General Hospital. She was a life long resident of Simpson County.

Survivors include nine sons, Willie Barnes of D'Lo, Gus Barnes, Lavell Barnes and Harold Barnes, all of Magee, J. T. Barnes of Mount Olive, Buford Barnes and Albert Barnes, both of Mendenhall, Robert Barnes of Jackson, and Ray Barnes with the U. S. Army in New Mexico; three daughters, Mrs. Clara Walker of Jackson, Mrs. Mildred Walker of Hattiesburg and Mrs. Nannie May Huff of D'Lo; 43 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; six brothers, Dan, Bill, Charlie and Peter Grubbs, all of Magee, Tom Grubbs of Mt. Olive, and Roberson Grubbs of Florence; one sister, Mrs. Minnie Myers of Pinola.
