Eanuel Achenbach, 84, Dies, Rites Saturday
Emanuel Achenbach, 84, retired farmer and former employee of the Iowa Electric Light and Power Company, died Thursday noon.
Born August 13, 1872, at Cedar Bluff, he was married on May 28, 1907, at Grundy Center to Delilah Zerbee. Mrs. Achenbach died in March 1944.
Surviving are two sons, Harold, of Cedar Rapids and Lloyd of Center Point; a daughter, Mina Huston of Princeton, Iowa, a step-daughter, Margaret Truman of Montezuma; two sisters, Celia Monier and Angeline Stout, both of Tipton; four brothers, John, Orlando and Isaac, all of Tipton, and Abner, of Morley; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services and burial will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Memories at Cedar Memorial cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Friends may call at the Sarchett-Murdock funeral home.
