Ruth A. Kautz was born Aug. 21, 1937, in Rochester and graduated from Lourdes High School. On Dec. 28, 1963, she marrid David Preble at St. Clement's Catholic Church in Hammond and they made their home in Zumbro Falls. Mrs. Preble worked for U.S. West Communications in Rochester for 30 years. She was a member of St Clement's Catholic Church, the WCCW, the Zumbro Falls American Legion Auxiliary and the Telephone Pioneers.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Dale and Daniel, both of Zumbro Falls; two daughters, Lisa and Sara, both of Zumbro Falls; her father, Arthur Kautz of Rochester; four brothers, Jack Kautz of Lake City, Kenny Kautz of Zumbor Falls, and Richard and William Kautz, both of Rochester; and two sister, Rosemary (Mrs.Charles) Kelley of Hammond and Margaret(Mrs.Dutch Edward) Keiffer of Elba. Her mother, an infant daughter and a brother preceded her in death.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in West Albany, with the Revs. Joseph LaPlant and Bernard Kerrigan co-officiating. Burial will be in St. Clement's Catholic Cemetery in Hammond.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Anderson-Peterson-Mahn Funeral Home in Lake City and an hour before the service at the church on Wednesday. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
